Do what Iāve done for the last 16 years w my boat. Leave it on the lift / hoist all year at your dock.
My boat is much smaller but Iāve rarely used its trailer.
I donāt know if youāre going to get a satisfactory resolution or not. But I tend to think that the dealer - as a middleman - has a greater challenge in addressing your concern which seems to be more of a design issue vs obvious defect. If I were so dissatisfied with my 58ās heated seats (Iām...
I like the looks of the wheel but only a half inch of poke? Is that from the outer edge of the thin fender flares on the ā58?
It looks like the poke is increased 54mm (2.1ā) over the ā58ās OEM configuration. Without measuring, I wouldnāt have assumed that thereās 1.5ā of clearance to spare (ie...
On my 1958, one is able to resume driving in ECO mode after stopping the engine. But the same does not apply for SPORT mode (it reverts back to normal). For SPORT mode, you must select that mode each time you restart the vehicle.
I wouldnāt always assume that the inventory listing at Toyota.com is overly precise. If I recall correctly, there is some qualifying language at the site that warns you of potential inaccuracies.
Regardless of tire math, I think itās unlikely that Toyota purposely calibrated the speedometer to align with some assumed size larger than the OEM spec.
True.
Interestingly, 4Runner unit sales were up 3% compared to the same period of ā23. The outgoing model has had some staying power.

Though the production volumes arenāt Camry-like, Toyota has sold over 20,000 LCs for the first 10 months of ā24 in the US. For last 10 years of the 200 series LC, annual US sales was consistently less than 4000. Thatās a significant increase.
Same here. I used to think that surface rust on rotors was an issue when looking at a new car on the dealerās lot (ie, as if the car had been in inventory far too long). I later realized how quickly it forms in the presence of moisture (such as when washing my Cayman)
Over 5500 miles and I havenāt noticed any noise, other than the usual scrapping off of surface rust after driving in wet conditions (which has been sparse in Alabama this fall).
For those that like to occasionally track their Porsches, etc., they often have to weigh the benefits (effectiveness...
Have you driven the GX much? I couldnāt tell from your first post. If not, it might be a good fit. I wouldnāt dismiss it simply due to fuel economy. The LC can get good economy but you really have to avoid engaging the turbo much to achieve that and it doesnāt seem that youāre wanting to do...
Starfly,
If you already havenāt already, you should read the below C&D article. I think it will better help you understand the intended power delivery of the LC vs the GX, etc. For example, the LCās weakness in a 0-60 run is likely more due to the fact that the electric assist isnāt sustained...
Is that the size used in the Toyota distributor add on? Do you know if the wheel size was also increased or if that accessory only swapped out the tires?
I wouldnāt hold my breath waiting on Toyota to make a significant change to the drivetrain.
The GX needs the engine upgrade to justify its existence, as in the past. And Toyota tends to change very little during a given generationās life cycle.
Though the LC has a significantly higher 0-60...
I donāt doubt there is some effect but itās not significant enough to warrant leaving them in place.
The lipstick might slightly improve the pigās appearance but it doesnāt hide the fact that itās a pig.
Again, itās a 6000lb boxā¦
Only modification to my 1958 and I havenāt noticed any difference.
Itās a 6000lb box driving down the highway. Those little rubber pieces could only do so much
Had to search hard in ā02 to find a new LC that didnāt have the cosmetic, distributor addons such as fender flares, roof racks, running boards, etc
In early ā21, I was briefly tempted to buy the Heritage Edition. I liked that it didnāt include running boards, cool box, and 3rd row seats. But I...
Kurt,
I apologize, but I since learned that the setting is only available for 1958ās for some odd reason. Several members made that comment in another thread. The manual isnāt very clear on the point.
Sorry.
