    Climate Control Questions

Driving around here where it's been cold, I've found 65 F is about the highest for my comfort level, but generally keep at 63...this is definitely a lower setting than my previous vehicle, but seems to be fine for me now that I've found the range to get the interior initially heated and a "sweet...

This is with (what appears to be) the stock rims for the 1958 ed?

How disable start/stop to prevent turbo failure?

This (specifically the part about the message to put the vehicle into park) should only happen if you hit the ignition button while the car was running in gear...is there any chance that the button was hit even accidentally? Even if not, that doesn't sound like an issue with the "start/stop"...

I sold my soul to get a Land Cruiser

I had an '86 first gen 4Runner... Since it was my first vehicle, I have a lot of nostalgia for that truck, but mine was NOT bullet proof...rust issues galore and the original paint was awful and faded quite quickly....but most of all, it was SEVERELY under-powered and a slog to drive. The...

2025 4Runner Build & Price is now online

The 2025 4Runner height is listed at 70.8" (180 cm), and the current LC is 76.1" (193.3 cm) ... so yeah, the LC is legitimately ~5 inches taller

2025 4Runner Build & Price is now online

I was personally pricing the base LC (1958 Ed) vs minimal 4runner config with iForceMAX (TRD OR or Sport Premium, IIRC) , but same general conclusion. There may be 5" less headroom in the 4runner, but for the record, there is a TON of headroom in the LC, especially without the sun/moon roof...

    Sof-Tex or Leather

having owned vehicles with both, I'm going softex all the way. Genuine leather is a bit softer for sure, but requires more upkeep and is less durable in my experience, and I actually like a bit firmer seat I'd probably also prefer Softex over the cloth seats of my 1958 ed, but I actually do...

POLL: What vehicle did you leave for your LC?

RAV4 ... though I've owned 4Runner (gen 1) and Tacoma (gen 2) in the past

Doug isn’t a fan of our baby

Doug's videos are generally fairly entertaining and informative if you're just looking for a decent, high-level walkthrough of a vehicle. I certainly don't always (or usually for that matter) agree with his tastes in aesthetics, but whatever, I'm not looking to trash his channel or content...

2025 4Runner Build & Price is now online

In a way, one thing I found refreshing when shopping for my 1958 ed. was the lack of available options... Given that Toyota (in the US at least), doesn't allow customers to do custom orders, In the past I've felt like I had to settle for a vehicle that was "close enough" to what I would have...
