Westcott is light, stylish, and very reasonably priced. Lots of addons and of course compatible with the usual accessories. Install was easy.
The only negative point I’d give it is the sealant, and only Sherpa does that “right” (aka idiot proof) in my opinion.
Would recommend
I suspect it’s a combination of drag and lead foot. You have nothing on your right, not even crossbars, that’s definitely helping. Still, 26 seems high. Outlying enough that I would recommend you double check your work! What is the elevation gain/descent of the miles you drove?
Both seat deletes+plate system cost 3090. The front base plate side screw holes are missing their threading so I’ll need to wood glue to triangle pieces (fortunately they’re just aesthetic)
The bolts that secure the whole system to the car are definitely incorrectly sized. I think they must...
After a lot of grief and cursing, got the goose plate in. Parts missing/incorrectly sized, but got it secured enough. Looks good at least. Not much looking forward to the installation process of the seat delete now though
I usually don’t like to do this but I feel compelled to share my annoyance with the goose gear plate system installation process. All was going fairly smooth until it came to bolting the base plate to the hybrid battery cage. The thread matching is atrocious. I have to assume there’s some kind...
With Westcott roofrack and two pelican vaults on top I’ve been averaging 21.5-22.5 with majority highway.
The key is to keep Rpm’s at 2 or under. Use eco and cruise as much as possible, but assist your cruise to avoid unnecessary braking or excessive accelerating. AC off when conditions allow...
You can turn that all off. The annoying one that I’m not sure if can be disabled is BRAKE!!!!!
Idk about the stability warning stuff in the gauge cluster. Definitely slightly irritating in 4lo but doesn’t block anything important
Eh, I go slow and if I hear it make contact I get out and check underneath. That’s what I’ve always figured they were really for. An alarm system not a shield
Take it to your nearest convenient auto shop and have the codes read. Can’t really help you till we know.
I can tell you I’ve done some gnarly off-road in mine with not dash lights to speak of. Only time I got a Christmas tree was when I tried to disconnect the swaybar at 19mph. It didn’t like that
I have to say, when I got the Land Cruiser I felt like I was making a number of concessions. If the traveler is delivered as advertised, it feels like my perfect car. Except for the width maybe
I had no choice but to put 87 in a near empty tank today since the only gas station at the start of the trail I was going didn’t offer premium.
31mi of moderate-severe terrain followed by 60mi of rural dirt and paved roads. I never really go in excess of 2-3k rpm. Elevation 4k. No crazy mods...
My next car if they keep that price below 70. Love the look, love the size, love the hood-trunk. And canopy roof. Wonder what the clearance is? Hopefully 9 considering all the other off road features it’s got.
Regarding the rivian comments:
Different aesthetic

I’m at 8k after picking the car up about a month ago. The answer is living in the west and needing to frequently drive between large cities or across states, and lots of joyrides and road trips.
I spend an absurd amount of time in the car. I don’t like hiking by myself but driving is...

Getting bigger and bigger… maybe the 8ft tundra with a big old topper next time! Anything to avoid a van haha
The bare roof, as in the roof of the actual car, or the weight limit of the roof rack that sits above the roof. The latter will vary based on what rack you use.
