Oye, that’s rough. I heated mine up and didn’t even need dental floss—it lifted right off. I cleaned it lightly with denatured alcohol and that was that.
I’d like to think that my LC, built at the Hino plant, will be very bit as good if not better than if it had been built at Tahara. Why? Because I’d also like to think that employees at Hino have a chip on their collective shoulders and want to surpass the Tahara employees in perceived quality...
I bought the TRD badge, tried for 30 minutes to get it installed, and finally gave up. No badge for me unless I get really bored and creative this winter.
I’m 25 miles outside Seattle and have seen 2 other LC’s since I’ve had mine (got it end of July). Spotted one GX prior to that.
Unfortunately, I’ve seen more Cybertrucks than Land Cruisers.
Today I got my best mpg to date: 21.5mpg over approximately 30 miles, across a mountain pass on the interstate at speeds from 65-80mph. Normal mode.
It’s getting better!
I’ve had mine for a bit over a month and have 1100+ miles on it. All manner of driving. It continues to impress in nearly every way: it’s quiet riding (except when on the interstate with a cross-wind; then I really hear the resistance from the roof rack/rails (LCLC trim). It’s zippy around town...
I bought that same badge, which is modeled after the chrome badges from the 80 series. I’m trying to decide which one to use. I like the authentic OEM version but the black matches better.
So these things have a User Manual?
I just drive mine and occasionally flip through the menu and discover new things about it. I’ll never try to understand all the features. I am really enjoying it.
I put Falken Wildpeak AT4’s on almost immediately after taking possession of my LC (275/70r18, load range E). Returned recently from a 900 mile road trip to Montana and back, I’m able to report that they are smooth and quiet, handle well at interstate speeds up to 85 mph. As far as road noise...
I’ve been pondering that badge. It’s based on the OEM chrome badge from the 80 series. I’ve also considered the OEM version but I’m not sure I want chrome on the new LC.
Is this the one you got...
I have the mid LC trim (w/premium pkg). The spec sheet does indicate all weather floor mats, but since the port “upgraded” to the carpet mats, I assumed that meant the vehicle would not have the all weather mats. Apparently it should have had them both.
The deal
The dealer did not up-charge me for the premium carpet mats—they were added at port. I ordered the all weather mats from the parts department, as well as the all weather cargo liner. Now I see on the window sticker that my vehicle included the all weather cargo liner so I’ve reached...
My LC was up-fitted with carpet mats at the port (why???!!). I promptly ordered the all weather rubber mats front, rear and cargo area and told the dealer to toss the carpet mats that I ultimately paid extra for. What a waste.
I’ll be driving from western WA to Missoula. Unfortunately the scenic byways won’t be an option on this trip as it will be a “means-to-an-end” sort of drive.
Sounds like it’s not going to be much of an issue as far as the engine break-in is concerned.
I pulled these guidelines from another thread in the forum that ironically did not have much discussion about the actual break-in period.

Breaking in your new Toyota
To extend the life of the vehicle, observing the following precautions is recommended:
-For the first 200 miles: Avoid...
Where I live in western Washington (the state), I’ve seen one to date and that was a few weeks ago. Also saw one GX550 but that doesn’t count. I get mine this week and I’m sure it will attract some attention. We’ll see if it’s good attention or bad 😆
I recently put down a deposit on an inbound mid-trim Land Cruiser with Premium Package that is as close to what I’d order if ordering were a thing. MSRP and due to arrive first or second week of July to Family Toyota of Burleson (Dallas area). I asked about QC port holds and was told some are...
