Maybe something like this for the telescoping ladder -I've got a 70 pound Golden Retriever, so I feel you there.

I definitely like the ARB rack on the GX, seems to sit a little higher though so I’m guessing more wind noise and possibly more difficulty in getting a slimline RTT on top where it will still fit in the garage.Much prefer the look of the GX Overtrail’s roof over the Toyota FE one…. wondering if it would fit the roof rails of LC… just pontificating

I saw the Topoak one, as newbie, it does make more sense to go that route (save some cash), especially since I'm putting some better tires on the LC day 1. However, I did find a similar one on Costco's site. Tempted to spend a bit more since Costco has a no questions ask return policy if something were to go wrong...Yes - I’m thinking of putting a knock off Roofnest on top and saving a couple grand. Some good reviews on YouTube comparing the two -
Galaxy 1.0 Rooftop tent from TopOak
Aluminum hard shell rooftop tent with expandable extra head room only $1299?topoakoverland.com
Good find as that looks like a decent deal. Also note though, that’s a standard clamshell whereas the Topoak has a bump out rather than an awning over the hatch, so it gives you quite a bit more room inside.I saw the Topoak one, as newbie, it does make more sense to go that route (save some cash), especially since I'm putting some better tires on the LC day 1. Greetings! How were you able to track the ship? Does your say that it is in the build stage? Does it give a date for delivery window? Thanks.I’ve got a FE in Meteor Shower on the way to the Port of Portland right now - ship arrives next week.
Interested to see what aftermarket options come out for leveling the cargo area for sleeping. Also considering a hard shell RTT. Looking forward to seeing what people do with the cargo area.
The dealer can see the build and ship dates in their system. If you cross reference the ship date and arrival/departure port with Vessel Finder you should be able to track it.Greetings! Already been done: I've been to the mountaintopI've been camping in my Highlander for years: built a 2-piece platform with some underneath space for a couple of flat plastic boxes. Rear part stays in, front part is put on top of folded front seats.
I'm 6'2" and would only fit comfortably with front seat moved forward all the way.
I was wondering, how long is the LC cargo area with rear sits folded down (not tumbled) and front sits moved forward all the way?
Could you guys please run this quick experiment and report the findings? Thanks!
Thanks! Highlander appears to be slightly more spacious, but it looks like my platform shall fit, with minor modifications height-wise. I dont think they moved front seats forward for measurements, so it shall give me a couple of missing inches.Already been done: I've been to the mountaintop
Hello Dr M there is a custom bed looks like it flattens out the whole of the cargo area there is a picture of it made be Toy- factory i,m hoping to get one but i,m in the UK so not sure if I can, the cargo measures roughly 72 inches long with seats just folded by 45 inches wide, wider in some places and with the seats up the cargo is 46 inches longI just got confirmation of my Land Cruiser, First Edition, Meteor Shower. It is at the port in Oregon. Should see it in a month or two. Does anyone know the dimensions of the rear cargo area with either the second row seats tumbled forward, and/or with the second row seats folded flat? We want to know if we can fit in there, as we did with our 1999 Land Cruiser. Thanks, and good luck to all who are awaiting a LC. I was shocked to have the FE offered to me yesterday.
I ordered the OEM Land Cruiser crossbars from Toyota, and the instruction manual said they were for both the GX and the Land Cruiser. That GX rack looks like it attaches in the exact same location as the crossbars.Much prefer the look of the GX Overtrail’s roof over the Toyota FE one…. wondering if it would fit the roof rails of LC… just pontificating
AlucabI have looked into them, but, at 66 years old, I’m not sure how I would get our 65 pound Standard Poodle up there!! Let us know what you decide. There are some nice ones out of Australia. The brand name slips my mind.
Hello all in the USA I was considering the TOY-FACTORY L C specific bed but its way to expensive for what it is I,m probably going to make my own with drawers underneath theres loads of ideas on Youtube also theres more and more after maket stuff coming out every day nowAlucab
