Catch Can anyone?

Apologies, new to the forum, and wondering if someone already found out how install an oil/condensation catch can in the 2024 LC?

Fact is modern engines, especially turbo engines, seem more likely to create sludge in the intake, and in a more advanced stage create carbon deposits on intake valves and pistons, leading to costly repairs (walnut shell blasting).

Oil catch cans would seem to benefit Direct Injection (DI) engines the most (LC has 4DS direct and port). But the manufactures don't seem to install them on DI or non DI engines, and as a result modern engines tend to sludge up and get an unjust imho label as "less reliable" compared to legacy atmospheric V6 or V8 designs.

Picture below shows catch, with hoses from/to crankcase vent (PCV valve), and strips oil/condensation even before it can enter into the inlet manifold.

Sure hope someone already installed a catch can install on 2024 LC 2.4 turbo four engine, and can share how?

It is my understanding that Toyota's 4DS is very successful in eliminating intake port/valve deposits. Not so? TheCarCareNut inspected a 4DS engine at, as I recall, 50K miles, and all was very clean. Regarding sludge deposits, he advocates 5K oil change to eliminate this condition. However, a catch can would be additional insurance, and have no negative effect, other than Toyota could possibly allege the engine was modified, and deny warranty claims.

Since the T24AFTS has port in addition to direct injection, catch can likely not necessary. Just a good redline every thousand miles ought to do it
