Hey all thought we could have a thread that listed the high offset wheels (>=40mm) that would fit with stock suspension so as more manufactures produce wheels others can refer to the list.

From my knowledge the two that are advertising 18 inch wheels equal to or greater than +40mm offset are:

Method 708 HD ($379) Not available yet.
Icon Alloys Recon SLX ($225.71) Available now.

First, let me qualify this by saying I'm a complete Newbie to this.
Wouldn't these TRD wheels work? (+45mm)

Newbie here too. Are we saying at +40mm offset, the tire will be in the same position as it is stock? Basically tucked in the wheel well?
I thought stock was +60mm. Perhaps +40 is so close it would look nearly the same as stock?
I see a lot at +25mm......would this make the tire stick out a bit and widen the stance?

I believe stock wheel (at least for First Edition) is +65. So, a +45 would have the wheel stick out an additional 0.78 inches. A +25 would stick out 1.57 inches from the stock wheel position.

Im picking up a set of 2024 trd tacoma wheels like shown in previous post above that are matt black and plus 45 offset tomorrow. We will see. Im putting them with my 285 70 18 toyo at3's. Im replacing my KMC's that are plus 18 offset. I dont like how far they poke out and im getting rubbing even with crash plates removed up front and mudflaps gone. Dont ever go plus 18 or zero offset. Bad idea with large tires

Post pics. I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out. Your planned setup is what I was planning.

That's the exact combo I have, and it works perfectly. No rubbing whatsoever, crash plates retained (yes, full compression/turning, front and rear), might poke out maybe <1/2" more than stock, but unnoticeable. It's a great combo for people who don't want to overpay for the Tundra/Sequoia TRD Pro BBS wheels, and they are basically the same weight (28.7 lbs if I recall correctly). ~$200+/wheel and done.

Factory offsets are 70 or 60. The wheels for the nearly identical Lexus GX550 are 50. Icon has a video where they test different offsets for 18" wheels and concluded that of their wheels (vs. stock), 40 was the best offset for upsizing tires, if they pushed out beyond that (to their 25 offset wheel) it would hit the fender, stick out and spray mud/gravel down the side, etc.

Here's my list of wheels that are likely to work (from the spreadsheet linked in my signature), I don't have part numbers for all of them. There may be more Toyota wheels that work. If I end up with a Land Cruiser with 20" wheels, I'll get a set of the Tacoma wheels. The Sequoia wheel below is also a popular choice if you can get them cheap. If you know of more, let me know.

cool. Im gonna put my crash plates back on, now that you have confirmed.. Thanks

It should look good with my Westcott lift

Here you go. 285 70 18 Toyo AT3's, Westcott lift, 2024 Tacoma TRD wheels Plus 45 offset.... I think this is best set up ever. 45 offset is perfect as mentioned from other members. A little poke, no more rubbing like I had with the KMC's plus 18 offset. I'm 100% satisfied.

I finally received my Method 319 +40 offset wheels with 275/70R18 SL load tires, albeit they lost my 5th wheel (either FedEx lost it or Method lost it) that I paid for so I only have four and they discontinued them for some reason so I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them or find something else that fits the bill and have 5 wheels. I'm a little bummed that I only have four and that I can't rotate the spare into the rotation mix to make the tires last longer but it is what it is.
