Time to get a skid plate thenMan sorry for your hardship. Not trying to be offensive but that isn't a skid plate, it's a debris shield only meant to keep road debris from getting in.......
How to approach what? Any pics of what caused that? Where are you wheeling?I’m at this very moment out in the middle of nowhere with a trashed front skid plate and scratching my head on how to even approach this lacking ramps…
It turned out not to be as involved as the document posted on another thread made it seem. It initially looked like there were 5 sets of trim to remove in very awkward places, especially on a trail. Turned out to just be one piece of trim and 5 bolts easy to reach. For the front plate at leastHow to approach what? Any pics of what caused that? Where are you wheeling?
Yup, just the plate got snagged. Wasn’t even a tall rockoil pan ok?
Thanks for the rec, not trying to wait so long thoughNytop.com
My dealership is insistent they’re incompatible lolI upgraded to the FE skid plates. Ordered and installed at local Toyota Dealer. If you want both of them, they cover about to the middle of the truck. Cost about $1000-1200 installed.
Ah so there’s a transmission skid but no oem front skid? Or am I seeing this wrongPrint this and take it in and ask What?
welp, I can offer that I have a LC-LC Premium, and bought the front and transmission skip plates that are on the FE, and they installed without any trouble. My dealership is insistent they’re incompatible lol
Can you share the parts numbers? I’ve seen the trans plate but not the frontwelp, I can offer that I have a LC-LC Premium, and bought the front and transmission skip plates that are on the FE, and they installed without any trouble.
I think (don't know) the LC/LC and 1958 come with debris covers for the front and Xmsn and they are kinda flimsy. The 1st Edition comes with a front skid plate that covers the Xmsn and a second one that covers the Xfer case.Ah so there’s a transmission skid but no oem front skid? Or am I seeing this wrong
They are on the PDF in my earlier post. Can you share the parts numbers? I’ve seen the trans plate but not the front
