Tire upgrades on 20 in. rims?

I was looking at the 275s too but they would be about 1.5" larger tire in diameter than the 265s. (32.5" vs 34.05"). Hopefully they would fit???...it will be awhile down the road for me to first get my LC and then switch out the tires.

Just saw this on FB:

“Picked this one up- premium package, falken wild peak at4w 275/60/20. Very pleased.”

Those tires on these wheels look pretty nice.

Anyone know if the KO3 275/65 R20 will fit? The 60s aren’t available until 2025

I also plan on running the 275/60R20 Baja Boss SL just was hoping someone tried to make sure it fits in the spare location since I need to run 5. Believe it’s around 33.4. They should be great in the snow and that’s super important heading to the UP snowmobiling 2 weeks a year.
I just had my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 275/60 R20’s SL installed at Discount Tire including the spare and it fit!!

I will be installing Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RTs on my LC (20") within the next couple of weeks. I had excellent luck with these on my 2 prior Jeeps and the new RT line seems to be an improvement of the ones I had been running.

Stay tuned for further details 😁

Also seriously considering the Defender Plat for my 20" wheels. But, I am looking to mount the 275/65R20 on them instead of the 60's.
Did you put the Michelin Defender Plat275/65 on? Any turn or rub issues?

Defenders are fantastic tires. Quiet, great mileage, surprising snow performance for a non 3peak tire, and they last forever.

They aren’t all-terrain tires and you’ll give up some dirt and rock traction if that matters. They also look a little boring on these vehicles.

But - excellent tires.

Has anyone upgraded from the Dunlops to a more trail worthy tire on the optional 20 in. rims? If so could you please post pics and initial impressions?

I currently have a LC Premium w/20 inchers sitting in the Port of Portland. The first thing I plan on doing is upgrading the tires to KO2s, Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws or Toyo Open Country IIIs. I want the three peak mountain snowflake designation and that severely limits my options, particularly when compared to 18 in rims.
I have the Wildpeak AT3W on my Tahoe, after running the Defenders I posted on above for 75,000 miles. I’d have to be honest and say that they aren’t as quiet as I might have been led to believe. But that could be me comparing them to the Defenders and not to reasonable expectations for an all terrain tire. They are great on trails, such as I’ve taken them on (nothing serious), very good in rain, and fine in snow. The Defenders are better in snow than they claim to be though; the difference there is not night and day.

The AT3s look really cool, and the road noise is fine if you expect it. Too soon to opine on durability.

Went with Nokian Outpost nAT in 275/60 r20. Great so far, 1-2 mpg hit. Wish the wheels were lighter!

I’d be interested to see if anyone has gone with 275/65 R20’s. This puts it at around 34.07” vs the 32.99” for 275/60 R20. It seems like people have rubbing issues and need to move the inner wheel lining for the front to work for wheel/tire sizes close to or around 35”.

I have a LC with 20 inch wheels. I am getting a shimmy when going over bumps in the road. I am use to cars versus a truck type vehicle. Is this just normal? I am taking it to the dealer on Friday to have them check the balance on the tires. But, if they check everything and I still have the same problem, I wanted to see if different tires would help the problem? I want all season tires and want to stay with the 20 inch wheels. Please let me know if you have any advice. I don’t plan on doing any off roading. I bought the vehicle because I wanted something different, liked the way it looked, and wanted to sit higher! And, I am a Badass Bitch! Just kidding!😂
