Toyota is set to showcase the 2024 Land Cruiser, destined for the U.S. market, at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. However, this isn't your typical LC 250. The traditional circular steering wheel has been swapped out for "NEO Steer," a yoke-inspired design that incorporates the vehicle’s acceleration and braking controls directly into the steering mechanism, drawing inspiration from motorcycle handlebars and eliminating the need for foot pedals.
This innovative yoke design facilitates hand-operated driving, opening up new possibilities for individuals with lower limb impairments to comfortably drive the 2024 Land Cruiser. The controls are conveniently placed on the right side of the yoke, allowing for an intuitive driving experience, easier vehicle entry and exit, and a more comfortable seating position.
