Winter wheel and tire setup for a LC Premium in the Great White North

I ended up with no coherent plan, but it worked out okay.

Immediately after delivery, I put AT4W's on the stock 18" wheels. Then winter came and all the deals I had for rims fell through, so I put winter rubber on the stock rims. In the spring, I plan on buying a set of the Tacoma TRD Pro wheels. Love the look of them, so they'll become my summer wheels for the AT4W's.

If I were you, I'd put some nice winters on the stock 20's, then look for something you like in the 18" size for summer.

I went with these rims with Toyo Open Country WLT tires

Frankly it looks a ton better on 18”s, rides a bit softer too, but that could also be the soft winter rubber compound.
You are not imagining the difference in ride quality. My 2012 Subaru Outback had a significantly better ride on Michelin X-Ice tires, than it did on Michelin Defenders.
