đź‘‹ Welcome to the new Land Cruiser Forum - Please post an introduction thread!

I live in North Pole, Alaska and I was notified today the Land Cruiser I reserved has reached the Port of Anchorage… Only 450 more miles to go. Hopefully it will be ready to pick up in Fairbanks in a week or two. I’m ordered the Land Cruiser in underground with 18” wheels. I’m so geeked!!!

Welcome to the Jungle!

While backpacking in Australia in 1989, I rode in a few Land Cruisers in the Outback. I was sold. I loved the high functionality, durability, and the looks. Company cars and family first cars have kept me from getting one but I finally picked up my First Edition in October. Loving it!

And loving this site! Thanks for bringing us all together.

I’ve cycled through many cars over the years and I’m only two months into this, but it’s the first time I’ve had feelings for one. It certainly has its nits, but I love it.

I stepped up to a 2024 Land Cruiser 1958 from a 2015 4Runner Trail model, which I put 150,000 miles on, so it was just getting broken in. I have been driving a succession of 4wd vehicles of various sorts since 1972 (ok, 1967 if I count my Army service). I have owned 2 IHS Scout II's, a Jeep diesel Cherokee, 2 Ford Explorers (when they were built on truck chassis), an F150, the 4Runner, and now the LC. Just got the LC about 3 weeks ago. Possibly with the exception of the F150, the LC is the most sophisticated off-road vehicle I have owned. I am looking forward to running the LC through its off-road paces. The LC came with "street" tires, and the dealer could not swap them, so when it comes time to replace them, I will get mud and snow tires of some sort. Looking for suggestions.

I intentionally got the 1958 LC because I have never had a vehicle with a "moon roof" that did not leak, so anything with that was out. I also did not want another vehicle with power seats. Once I get the seats set, I rarely change them. I also have had it with white or black vehicles, since white shows every spec of dirt and black is hotter than blazes in the NC sun and also shows dirt. My LC is the grey color (Meteor Shower") - who comes up with these names, anyway?

BTW, my other off-road vehicle is a 2004 Aviat A1-B Husky (bush plane), which can go many places no ground vehicle can go! And needs very little runway...

Living on Vancouver Island, Canada. Live on a hill and get a handful of times a foot of heavy wet snow, new LC 1958 should be good for that. Our older Dodge truck has Nokian Outpost all-season tires, our snow GOAT, sure wish Nokian Outpost came in 245/70R18. Mechanical engineer and worry about reliability, a turbo engine with start/stop, not a good idea imho.
Owned three 4Runners, Tacoma, several Cummins diesel trucks, Mercedes and BMW turbodiesel cars. Really like the purpose built LC 1958 with cloth seats. Cancelled my 2025 4Runner ORP order, too modern and interior is just Tacoma "(giant screen and pleather seats). Maybe I am getting old, yet prefer that LC 1958 purpose-built with unique character and understated elegance.

New to the forum, picked up my black Land Cruiser last Saturday. I’m from Toronto Canada. So far love it. Travelled north from Toronto on Saturday and hit deep snow, the Land Cruiser handled well. Look forward to checking out members modifications and up grades.

Hi, everybody. I just swapped my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 2018 for a Land Cruiser Base 2025. I had some mods on the Jeep that frankly I didn’t use enough to justify like an integrated winch. So I’m not planning to go crazy on the LC. But did have to swap out those stock tires with some Falken Wildpeaks. One thing I will likely do is replace the speakers when some more standard kits get made from good brands. Glad to join this forum, thanks.

Hello everyone,

As a proud owner of a white LC base, I'm stoked to jump into the rabbit hole of all aftermarket parts, accessories and learn the way of LC life! I'm situated in Greater Vancouver, Canada aka Raincouver.

I guess my first future purchase will be a new set of tires. I know there's a ton of information here, almost too much, but would love to hear from anyone who has an insight on: durable tires, good in rain and snow and occasional over trail as in seasonal camping duties.

Hi All! Just picked up a 2025 Land Cruiser “Land Cruiser” last week! Been a dream of mine to own an LC since I first saw one in an auto mag as kid.

Can’t wait to get it ready for trails although first I need to get it equipped for snowy mountain passes in the PNW. This forum has been a great resource!

Hi Everyone! I'm new to the LC Forum, and writing to introduce myself. I just got a 2024 LC 1958 for my 60th birthday, and I love it! As I head toward semi-retirement, I'm building a car bed for frequent camping trips. I've already pulled out the center lighting panel and exposed the fuse box in order to decide how to power the Blackvue dashcam that I'm going to install.
