Have any of you guys noticed water getting in the doors of your LC? I noticed that when it rains, the rain makes its way down the glass and into the door. A couple times this winter after it snowed, I had water make its way down and freeze in the door. When I went to roll the window down, it was frozen shut. Wasn't a one time occurrence too. Its been fairly rainy here in NYC and I've noticed that when I'm leaving my jobs covered parking garage and roll the window back up, the previously dry window is coming up wet. Wondering if its a seal issue with my car or are you guys seeing this as well? Makes me worried for salty water making its way into the door in the winter and the windows freezing on me again.

I have not had this issue, even with very heavy rains here in Houston and I hit the car wash damn near everyday. I would definitely take it in to be checked out.

Where is the water inside the door? The door has drains located along the bottom lip. I could see water draining out there and getting frozen between the door and the lip of the door.

So I have noticed that i can go two days without rain. If i roll down my window, it still rolls back up wet. This happens on all 4 windows. Im guessing maybe they just take EXTREMELY LONG to dry?

Anyone else have this issue?

Its possible its not inside the door, but along the seal between the door and the window

I have been noticing that when it rains, my drivers window tends to stop halfway down when I open it. Giving it a little nudge makes it go down fully. I'm imagining that the water is causing a gear to slip or something.

I plan on getting it looked at during my next service appointment. I'd be curious to hear if others are having any window issues.

I have the same issue, say a few hours after it rains and the car is dry again, or the same thing after a car wash, when I roll the windows down dry and roll them back up they are damp on the outside. They can this can last for a day or two or more depending on humidity and warmth outside.

The glass-to-frame seal is a felt like material to allow the window unimpeded up and down movement, while cushioning the glass in the down position from rattling........ not waterproof and allows a small amount of water to enter the interior of the door. That's why the door has a vapor bearer and drain holes. The industry has been doing it this way for a very long time, now some seals/felts are better than others etc......
