I think there was a tread about this before but I can't find it. This pop-up warning that can't be dismissed for more than 5 seconds is getting so annoying. It happens constantly if I'm in 4 Low or if I'm using an offroad drive mode in 4 High (like sand or whatever). I'm looking at it as a safety issue because it's constantly taking my attention off the road, disables any other dashboard options until it's dismissed, and it can only be dismissed for good by stopping, going into the menus, and shutting off an already disabled safety system which will presumably remain shut off when I get to pavement and actually want it. Has anyone found a more reasonable way to make this go away? It's surely a bug -- there are other similar warnings that will pop up only once and never come back once you've dismissed them. I'm going to see if I can find where to report the bug to Toyota and NHTSA and hope for a SW update.

I’ve seen a couple videos about this. I haven’t been able to test it yet but I am also interested in this.

Following as well as I had the same experience this last weekend and was wondering what was going on.

It was mentioned on another thread that barista can change some things, they specifically mentioned disabling the annoying seat belt chime. I wonder if this could help with that.

Totally shooting from the hip here, but hold VSC off for 5 seconds. Not just until the VSC off light shows, but longer. At least 5 seconds. See if that does not change things up.

Carista works for seatbelt chimes. There’s nothing in it for this VSC message. It only goes away when PCS is turned off. Which automatically turns on again when vehicle is restarted, ime.

Unfortunately no.

I think you have to turn off the PCS (pre collision system) in the dash safety menus. Can't remember if there's any others you need to turn off
