I had another incident the other day where it seemed to pull me over and I had to do a hard pullback. The LTA and the LCA are 2 nannies that I just don't work for me. At one point I was ready to turn everything off but for now I'm tolerating the rest and maybe see the utility.

Turned all nannies off and now it doesn't try to unhelpfully drive itself by overriding the inputs I am choosing to provide.

I turned mine off and then the next time I turned the vehicle on, they were back on. Did I do something wrong?

That centering tech is NOT ready for prime time. I didn't know the truck had it until it started fighting me on lane changes.

Funny. When I turned my lane keep assist off it stayed off. The lane trace assist I think only works with cruise control, which I do not use. I also declined connected services, did not download the app, and turned off the screen. Itโ€™s nice and peaceful in here now..

Agreed. It actually is more of a distraction than a safety feature. Especially when you are maneuvering through road construction and the lines are not definite.

there are odd gremlins involved somehow; on road trip LCA was stubborn working sometimes/not others totally unreliable that day; next day worked fine but you need to respect limitations ie if off ramp nearby/const zones/weird inputs it'll get false readings thus fight you, once i learned the quirks its a pleasure to use in the right conditions

Yes, agree with you. Half of these features have been defeated by me because these make me feel unsafe

I agree with everything everyone is saying. I went from unsure of it and not understanding why the wheel was resisting lane changes, to learning about it and loving it, to recently having some odd and slightly sketchy occurrences, leading me now to not feel totally comfortable with it.
If there is road work no way. A lot of traffic I am cautious. I think with more open road and less traffic I feel better with it.
Hopefully they will offer upgrades/improvements we can download or however that is done.

Does no one use their signal to change lanes? It leaves you alone if you do. No signal and it tried to keep you in the existing lane.

What PapaSmurf saidโ€ฆ. Use your turn signal and LCA wonโ€™t engage. Problem solved. Plus, itโ€™s just courteous to the folks around you. Like the idiot racing down the dotted line on a motorcycle weaving between traffic. Donโ€™t you think he could use a little hint you are about to change lanes? As an added bonus, this can help avoid a nasty grease spot on the fender of the new LC! Youโ€™re welcome!

Same here. I turned that sh$# off and it keeps turning back on. Its like it knows im a bad driver.

Not necessarily. I signal all my lane changes and it still fought me on occasion. Thatโ€™s how I knew I even had the feature, because it got in the way.

If one is paying attention to driving and knows how to drive this nanny is more annoying than useful, and may even be dangerous in some circumstances. There I said it.

My biggest issue with LCA is when overtaking cyclists, if you don't use your lane change signal, the vehicle will attempt to murder the bike rider.
