Toyota App Climate settings issue via remote start

I'll change the desired temp on the app before remote start command is sent LC and there is no change when I get in. The temperature that was left then exiting the vehicle is still there. What am I doing wrong? Is this working properly for others?

You have the hit the save setting button first, then the start button.

I've definitely done that and still no change to the requested temp when sent to the vehicle.
