Tire place can't align a 250?

I put a spacer lift on my 250 over the weekend and then took it to a tire place (chain store, but I've been happy with their work for a while) Monday to get it aligned.

First they said they would need to calibrate cameras/sensors along with the physical alignment and that they might not be able to because it's so new.
Once they got the Cruiser on the rack and tried, they came back and said it wouldn't work.
They also couldn't just do the physical alignment because of liability if the sensors were out of calibration and could cause problems. I asked if they could just do a check to tell me how far out the front end was and they said their system didn't have specs for the 250.
They said I'd have to go to the dealer for now, and that they usually get an update around mid-year with new model specs.

I know this shop and everyone else around here is using the same Hunter system, so I don't have much hope of another place doing better, but I'm sure everyone else here with a lift has also gotten an alignment.
I also know I (or they) could have looked up specs since I know I've seen them online, but I didn't think to push for that at the time.

What was your experience with alignments after your lifts?

For reference, I went 2" in front and 1" in rear, so there's still about 1/2" rake, not quite level.

You might call your local Safelite (windshield replacement) and see if they have the capability to calibrate the cameras. If they do ask the tire place, if they would do the alignment and show them your appointment for calibration.

Good idea, thanks!

Do you happen to have the alignment specs in your downloaded TIS library that you wouldn't mind sharing? I've been searching the web for a minute now and haven't found them as easily as I thought I would.

Is this what you're looking for?

I was thinking the standard camber, caster, toe, thrust angle stuff, but I also really enjoy having this camera cal stuff. Now I can get an idea how far off anything could really be and I love seeing what's really involved in the camera calibration. Thank you!

Awesome, thank you! I can check now to see whether things are out far enough to worry about in the short term before I can get this done for real. If I end up going to the dealer that's an hour drive.
And I'm not going to hold my breath, but maybe a tire place would be able to do something with this if I highlight all the right parts for them.

A competent 4WD shop that works on Toyotas should have no issues doing your alignment and making corrections if needed
