Tailgate locks

Anyone know if tailgate locks like this work on the Land Cruiser's rear window? I have one for my FJ (along with the cheaper but less secure hardware store solution of a swivel snap) for when I want air going through the back window but don't want the truck freaking out that the window is open.

Most commonly used if you’ve got a pup in the back, so you can leave the window cracked open but still lock the doors. Here’s the cheap insecure version:
