speedometer cluster unexplainably changed to dark/minimal mode?

Well that's the jist of it. Drove 10 miles all normal. 30 minutes later jump in and dash is all dark with only a few indicators showing. Speed in middle. In smaller print is time of day, outside temp, fuel status, and total mileage.

Gone are the 2 left and right gauges, the LC picture, the different colors, the HUD display. I still have cruise and lane tracking but not the icons that go with it in color. Also when I turn off vehicle no mileage stats. Just dark. I do not recall hitting anything. And cannot get this to change. Have toggled "ok", the back button, and left and right arrows which usually change the dash information. Nothing works. Turned on and off a few times.

Anyone have experience with this?

Is it the up and down buttons that do that? I know I’ve stumbled across this before, making the display super simplified.

I do not know, maybe I unknowingly hit an arrow button.
It is super simplified which has a certain appeal to it. Like it was less stressful driving with not much to grab your attention. It's Basic Mode . Although I miss the HUD and the mpg indicator when I turn the car off.

Well I read the manual and found nothing about this minimal mode. Went back out to truck and started and it is back to normal. Have no idea what that was or how it happened.

It’s the OK button — if you just do a short press it goes into that minimal view. See my screen shot, the OK with arrows at the bottom right? Maybe if you have the map in the center area it will expand it? I’ll have to try that tomorrow.
