Just wanted to report that I finally received the single FE roof rack crossbar from a dealer’s online shop. Like many others, I’ve had no luck finding it with the “national back order” for the last several months. Decided about 3 weeks ago to just try placing another online order. Again received a reply that it was unavailable, but this time I was given the option to wait rather than the order being immediately cancelled. About 10 days later, the item shipped.

The box came to the dealer from a Toyota parts distribution center in the Midwest. I used toyotaparts.nucar.com but it would seem that any dealer may be able to find some inventory of this part now.

Very simple install: 2 star-head screws out and in.

I was finally able to order one as well (will be here Wednesday). It's been a long wait to be able to use the last 25% of this roof rack. Such an inane decision on Toyota's part.
