Has anyone here had success replacing the OE 265/60R20 tires on the '25LC with 20" factory wheels with something more aggressive using no lift / mods? Apologies if this is old territory. I have seen only 1 report of someone replacing the OE rubber with BFG KO2s in 265/60R20 with no mods and saying it looked good, ran well. Has anyone tried that or tried it with Toyo AT3s, replacing just the tires on the OE 20" wheels with no mods? Thanks.

65 pages of info. most of it is related to 18 inch rims, but the size discussion is relevant for the 20's

Most who put the more aggressive tires on the LC prefer the 18' or even 17' rims because the added sidewall gives more protection for heavy offroading.

Toyo OC AT III 275/60r20 on stock Toyota wheels, no lift. I modded the heck out of my previous Tacoma, so I decided to take it a bit slower this time, just added some slightly larger all-terrains.

I did the same thing - Toyo Open Country AT III in 275/60r20. No lift. I went for the SL load rating rather than E to save the weight/hit on MPG. I only hit fire roads and easy trails, so no need for the E rated tire anyway. No discernible increase in road noise and the truck rides slightly better.

I have 275/60/R20 Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus's on my OEM 20" wheels .. spare tire fits, no rubbing, actually measurably quieter than the stock tires, and much better in snow and dirt
