(DIdn't know where to post this since there isn't a 'general' forum, so posted it here.)

I think it's sad to see that 99% of discussions here revolve around how to dump more money into our vehicles, instead of getting out and actually using them. Although there is an 'Off Road' forum, that is clearly dedicated solely to equipment. I think it would be cool to have a place where people can post detailed trip reports, show images of the LC out doing what it was designed to do, have some discussions about how the LC (or a given modification) either did or did not meet their expectation off-road.

In fact, this idea came up because I'm considering a trip down into the Needles District of Canyonlands N.P., and started wondering if anyone had taken their LC250 down there yet (there are several technical considerations of the trail system that challenge mostly-stock 4x4s, one of which is vehicle width, the primary being beating the hell out of the underside). I think such a forum could be a great resource for people trying to figure out what mods to do, and to consider whether certain 'upgrades' are even necessary to enable a vehicle owner to go where they want to go and do what they want to do.

Thoughts?

Love having privileged access to this lovely wilderness

I like the idea of a trip report-specific sub-forum. That said, I also like that I have ONE link and I see everything from builds, to adventures, to DIY and everything in between. If I don't like the title, I don't click on it.

Who doesn't post about using their rig and which mod worked or didn't work so good? Could be people are just getting used to their rigs just don't like to post about it.

OnX off road has a very detailed off road map/route planning support system. If you can't find it on OnX they also have a way to share new routes with others.
