Hi, everyone! I finally got my LC (1958 edition) in August of this year. My LC is my daily driver, our camper hauler, and our current “long distance” vehicle. We recently had to travel 17+ hours one way (so 34+ hours total), and on the way back ran into some snow. My LC handled everything like a champ and was a completely comfortable ride even on the long trek.

I’ll only be doing light off-roading and she’ll mostly be a show vehicle. We also have a jeep and use that for all of the ridiculous and heavy things. My LC is still mostly stock but I have some fun plans for it. We’ve got dogs, we’ve got cats, we do a lot of races, and we try our best to spend time in our community giving back.

My dad is a mechanic so I spent a lot of time in his shop, and my spouse is pretty mechanically inclined as well. I’m trying to learn as I go so I can do the majority of my “upgrades” myself to get into the nitty-gritty of my own vehicle.

Welcome, and where do yoy typically go serious 4-wheeling in Oklahoma? My mother was born/raised on a farm near Elk City, and we have a granddaughter and great-children in Choctaw. Would sure like to make a trip that direction someday.

There’s a few places around here- the one we enjoy most often is Lake Frederick. The entry fee is based on the honor system, so you drop your cash in a money box. It doesn’t have many true designated trails so you get to just explore. We’ve also went up to Crossbar Off-road park up in Davis. They price per person (not per vehicle). I think it was $40ish per person the last time we went up there. They mark their trails with the difficulty level so it’s helpful and it’s the most established park in OK.
