Has anyone gotten the illumination to work when installing LC / FE running board on the 1958 trim? I have seen some wiring diagrams posted but I am not skilled enough to interrupt them. I found what looked like an unused plug on the passenger side, in the general right area, that fit the port on the running board but that does not seem to light them up. I do not see anything on the driver side that looks like a fit for the running board plug. Not the end of the world if the option is not available but would be a nice to have. Thanks for any guidance.

I took off my running boards yesterday to make it easier to ceramic coat my vehicle. The electrical connection for the lights on the boards was near the middle bracket. I'm wondering if it's tucke up inside your 1958?

I just installed lighting running boards and plugged them in just like you identify in that photo, but they do not light up and neither do the lights on the mirrors on my first edition.
I'm thinking maybe there's a dedicated fuse for it and there's no fuse in there.
I'm also wondering if there might be a setting in the entertainment center to turn them on or off, although I can't imagine they would be. But if so,I imagine it would have to be programmed in for vehicles that come with them already installed.
Any help?

Picked up and installed a set of GX running boards last week and noticed that existing harness only has connector on the passenger side and cannot find one on the driver side.

Before I start plugging connectors and pulling wires, I wanted to check if anyone has been successful in getting the lights to work and also where the driver side connector may be found?

I had one on both sides. Must've been in that one little spot you missed looking for it.
If I remember correctly, it might be exactly directly across from the other one you found.

Anyone know if there's a part number for the plug on the wiring harness? I swapped my running boards for a set of sliders, but still want to add some lights without cutting/splicing if possible.

I'll bet the plug is attached to the light, and could order both. Was thinking of checking into that myself, but haven't done it yet.
