Hello all. I am happy to find a forum on the 2024+ LC.
I purchased my LC in late September 2024 for my son and me. It has been a while since I had an off-road and snow-worthy vehicle. After a few bad instances of getting stuck during ski trips, I decided to buy a vehicle to help me out of challenging situations. Maybe the LC is overkill. I am a long-time Toyota owner and I currently have a 2012 Sequoia, but it is a two-wheel drive and miserable in adverse situations. My fault for not choosing the 4-wheel version. But it is so bad that I am not sure the four-wheel drive would have helped on that model. However, the Sequoia has 180k miles with no significant issues, which keeps me returning to Toyota. The Sequoia gets 13- 15 mpg, and I did not want another gas guzzler. The new LC seemed to fit my needs. The MPG range advertised on the new LC was 20 - 25, and while I knew I would not get the high side MPG, I have never experienced worse than the low end of any car I have purchased - until now. I see 15-16 mpg and must work at it to get that. I am disappointed. The car is a nice ride, with a solid feel and a quiet ride. When I drive it, I am reminded of how nice it is. But I feel like I was misled. If I had known, I might have purchased something else, like the Lexus GX550 with the V6 instead of the LC's complicated hybrid system. I am here on this forum mainly to get some insight from others as to their MPG, and if this is an issue for others.
