newly released weathertech floor liners

Got my new weathertech floor liners and I have to say they nailed it. The fit and finish is as expected from them, its fantastic! Overlaps the door sills a little for some more protection. Rear single piece mat also covers half of the hump behind the armrest. The mats extend further up the sides of the floor board more than the stock ones which is cool.

Problem i had with the stock all weather floorl iners was my foot would slip when getting out of the vehicle using the grab bar to clear my seats without sliding out ( FE rock rails dont really serve as a step when getting out because they are so small) the tread pattern with the 90 degree twist and the extra indention means my foot doesn't slip on the matt any more. Its a win all the way round.

Great photos, I'm glad to see they don't cover the illuminated part of the front door sills.

I cheaped out and bought Husky Liners, the ones they call "WeatherBeaters." I haven't got them yet but they were way cheaper, almost half the cost of Weathertech's "HP" liners Just $79 for the front only (compared to $138.95 for Weathertech) and $109.99 for front and second row (compared to $228.90 for Weathertech). And Husky includes free shipping to boot. (I actually ordered mine last weekend when the Huskys were another $10 off).

Although the Husky WeatherBeaters look the same as Weathertech HPs, I'm a little wary, knowing that you get what you pay for. However, I do have the Weathertech HP cargo liner so I can compare construction materials. I'll post a follow-up as soon as the Huskys arrive.

I am super pleased with my new weathertech floor mat set, especially, using them for off-road
I always go with family of 4, so it is super helpful to prevent dirts, muds, wet to mess up the carpet
I had same full-coverage floor mat set for my gwagon in last 8 years, and still run well for many year a head

I've received my weathertech mats today and I'm more than satisfied. I have the older style weathertech in my 4Runner and the rubber material with the new version is much better, maybe even more so then the LC original liners. The rubber is softer and more grippy then the older style all while maintaining great coverage.......+10

I ordered Husky "Weatherbeater" floor liners a week ago and they arrived yesterday. They look identical to the Weathertech HPs, fitting snugly along the contours of the floor, with a high lip and generous over-sill flap. They'll certainly do the job.

I compared them to my Weathertech HP cargo mat and here are my impressions. First, I think the Weathertechs are 1/2 mm thicker, but my micrometer isn't the best. Second, the Weathertech's seem very slightly more plasticy and stiffer. The Husky's are a tiny bit more rubbery, but they're much stiffer than the OE all weather floor mats.

Bottom line, I saved about $150 and got the coverage I wanted. I'm sure other people will chime in with how much they love their Weathertechs. I, for one, do not have strong feelings about floor mats.

I just ordered the Husky x-act contour mats. I kept going back and forth about whether to do weather tech or the Husky weatherbeaters or the Husky x-act contours. Went with the x-act because I wanted something softer and grippier. I had weather tech in a work car and whenever I got in with wet shoes, they would slide if I wasn’t careful. I’m old and can’t do the splits anymore, lest I break my crotch! Haven’t received the x-act contours yet but hoping they will fit well and that my shoes won’t slide on them.
