Floor mats look great!!Got my new weathertech floor liners and I have to say they nailed it. The fit and finish is as expected from them, its fantastic! Overlaps the door sills a little for some more protection. Rear single piece mat also covers half of the hump behind the armrest. The mats extend further up the sides of the floor board more than the stock ones which is cool.
Problem i had with the stock all weather floorl iners was my foot would slip when getting out of the vehicle using the grab bar to clear my seats without sliding out ( FE rock rails dont really serve as a step when getting out because they are so small) the tread pattern with the 90 degree twist and the extra indention means my foot doesn't slip on the matt any more. It’s a win all the way round.
The OEM front mats do not go up high enough (especially along the inside edge/transmission tunnel). I have a ton of salt from wet boots and shoes that accumulated on the carpeted area above the OEM mats and dripped down underneath. I will be ordering replacements this weekend. Is the consensus that the Weathertech mats are worth the cost if you already have the OEM all-weather mats?
I've not taken delivery of my vehicle yet, but the OEM all-weather mats are included. I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and get the weather-tech mats to swap in immediately. My driveway is prone to getting a little muddy when it rains and I have a 4 year old who will be riding in the back row every day.The OEM front mats do not go up high enough (especially along the inside edge/transmission tunnel). The front OEMs are a worthless upgrade. Toyota shouldn’t bother selling them. I’d 100% order the Weather-Techs ASAP. Our rear seats don’t get as much use, so I’ll make do with the OEMs in the back.I've not taken delivery of my vehicle yet, but the OEM all-weather mats are included. YES!! WeatherTech mats are awesome (thought I only have the front mats installed as of this posting). Is the consensus that the Weathertech mats are worth the cost if you already have the OEM all-weather mats?
Do it. NOW! Front and rear seats mats…I've not taken delivery of my vehicle yet, but the OEM all-weather mats are included. My question exactly. Posted at the same moment in time! How is the trunk liner?
But not in their HP product line.I thought weather tech makes a cargo mat
Yes, they do.I thought weather tech makes a cargo mat
I'm happy with it... my 1958 didn't come with a rear cargo liner, so can't compare to the OEM version, but went ahead and ordered it with the front floor mats. How is the trunk liner?

This is exactly why I ordered them... I noticed a lot of moisture getting trapped under the driver's floor mat from melted snow/salt because there's very little coverage in the area near the gas pedal. The WT mats go up higher and protect that area much better... after additional snow falls and driving around, my carpets are dry, and the WT mats look great. The OEM front mats do not go up high enough (especially along the inside edge/transmission tunnel). Yea.. my next purchase. Rear seat WT floor mat, for the rare times when the grandkids are back there.....if you're more OCD than I am, you may prefer to have the full matching set.
Thanks so much for the detailed response. I went ahead and got the Weathertech front and rear mats! Here are some comparison photos and angles to help decide if the WeatherTech HP are worth it over the OEM. I placed the OEM on top of the WeatherTech to show the added coverage. Even though I have java interior I selected black instead of cocoa, though I'm glad we have the option. The black matches the rest of the plastics in the Land Cruiser.
Note I had one corner edge that was not flush against the carpet on unboxing/installing. I used a heat gun to soften it and encourage it back to form and now it sits nice and flush when installed. So, try a heat gun if you have a similar issue with any deformation in shipping.
Overall I'm happy with them. The coverage over the OEM is the reason to get them, especially around the driver pedal area. The feel of the OEM are great - the WeatherTech HP does not improve on the feel however the HP are a just a touch thicker. Also the embossed logo is subtle - unlike previous versions that had a color logo. I like subtle. The HP does feel more compliant than the non-HP I have in the Subaru. The Subaru OEM have a nicer rubber mat material which I prefer, unfortunately like all OEM mats the coverage is inadequate. The HP WeatherTech are a step in the right direction as far as material goes, almost matching the OEM Toyota all weather, but not as good as the Subaru all weather. Good coverage is what was most important to me.
