Hey everyone! New Land Cruiser enthusiast here, stumbling into this forum with more enthusiasm than actual knowledge (for now). I’ve recently joined the ranks of proud Cruiser owners, and while I’m still figuring out what all the buttons do, I know one thing for sure: I’m ready to make this beast adventure-ready!

I’ll be the first to admit that my current off-roading skills are… well, let’s just say I have a lot to learn. I’m here hoping to sponge up all your wisdom, avoid a few rookie mistakes, and maybe even keep my cruiser upright on trails longer than 30 minutes.

Would love any tips you all have on essentials, overkill mods (that I’ll definitely want anyway), and anything else to make my cruiser a camping/trail machine! Thanks for having me, and I promise to keep the ‘why won’t my rig start’ posts to a minimum. Cheers!”

Welcome to the Jungle! The member build threads are full of good ideas!

Welcome! Two quick things: (1) replace/upgrade OEM wheels (and consider a leveling kit); (2) replace running boards with rock sliders, OEM or otherwise.

welcome aboard

Skid plates, rock slides, a/t tires, and patience will get you across anything that isn’t an expert challenge course or underwater
