2024 LC FE
I have a new FE and really enjoying my first week of driving.

I want it to be a daily commuter as well as my weekend ride, and unfortunately it does not fit in the parking garage at my office. The roof rack hit the ceiling and I need atleast 2 inches more clearence. I am considering taking the rack off but wanted to hear opinions on if it is worth trying to lower the suspension to get it to fit?

What is the most efficient way to do this?
Could it be on an air system that changed height only when I needed to park?
If it was not adjustable would it compromise the ride?

Thanks

Air ride would do what you want, but I think it would be costly as it would be a custom install.

Might be cheaper to fab some quick disconnect mounts for the rack.

I would lower it as a last resort. The half shafts are perfectly aligned at stock height. Vulcanized-on bushings are also set to normal ride height. You lower it, and the half shafts now articulate every time you go down the road, and your bushings are experiencing constant load, even at rest.

Prepare some sand bag/water container in your office garage...
Will slowly wear your springs and tires though

This is a great idea. What type of person would you look for to do this? A fab shop? Someone that is used to installing roof racks and has some skills?

Depending on what you want and your budget..........
Google "roof rack quick release mount" any machine shop should be able to replicate the mount, some welding shops could copy the basic principle etc........
