Did you manage to get the Snorkel from Aus? installed yet?
 
So got the snorkel installed and skid plates from NYTOP. I can tell you for shore that this car was not built to run without a snorkel. Bonus: you can hear now the turbo through the snorkel. Most cars route the air from the front where clean air can be rammed through. The factory intake was joke.

I don't know much about snorkels, nothing really, but Ronny Dahl calls the Toyota OEM version a raised air intake because it's built in pieces and is not watertight. He also mentions it doesn't do a great job of filtering out sand.
What do the experts say about those concerns?

All excellent points. In UAE we are not worried about water and water crossing. It is more of an issue in Oman

My problem is that the vehicle as it is setup has the air intake in very small unprotected pipe ending inside the wheel arch (i will post the pictures of the pipe that the snorkel kit replaced). The engine, in my opinion breathes better and looks great. I added to the tubes the black windshield adhesive used to glue the glass to the body to make water tight.
 
Q1) Does the Snorkel (Manufacturer Part Number - 0842560810) come with the paper template to help mark where to cut on the side fender?
Q2) Does this part come with the other pieces you will need to channel the air inside the fender and link up to the Air cleaner box?
Q3) Can you use your existing Air cleaner box or do you need to get a different one to work with this Snorkel?

I am waiting eagerly to see your updates on the install process and the your advice and thoughts.

End to end about 22 calendar days. 650 USD total cost as of January. Another 500 AED for a good shop to do the installation.
