Builder is finally up!

TL;DR; they've got 5 trims in total. They have trims both with 5 and 7 seats, only one engine choice (2.8L diesel), no trims with round headlights 😲, 110l (29 gallons!!!!) fuel tank, Toyo Open Country All-Terrain tires . Among other fomos they are getting tons of cool offroad accessories like bull bar (2 options!), nudge bar, bonnet protector, snorkel, winch straight from the factory (port installed?)!

Twenty…..freaking……nine……gallons??!!! Aussie Aussie Aussie.

the math on that gives me 600.3 miles of range.

Pretty cool. I hear the Aussies are a bit upset that all the middle trims force you to go 7-seater. Because their diesel is a mild hybrid, the third row implementation is not ideal:

Yeah, that box configuration is sub optimal. I heard they are also concerned that removing the 3rd row voids warranty. At least in the sense you can't put it back.

Btw Toyota managed to steal precious trunk space from 5 seater version too. Looks very similar to fully blown hybrid we are getting in US

Yeah, looks like the same amount of cabin intrusion. Makes me wonder if we’ll ever see a three row option with our i-FORCE MAX?

By any means I'm not an expert, just a random dude on internet making facts up out of the thin air. Imo it is unlikely that they'll be able to fit 3rd row with our current hybrid setup (aussie diesel's mild hybrid battery is quite a bit smaller). So, to allow 3rd row they'll need to introduce a different engine choice:
  • diesel likely will not pass emissions requirements
  • current gas engine without hybrid setup will not justify LC price premium and performance expectations for the most buyers
  • v6 is kinda reserved by Lexus, luxury experience and what not

Also, current sales numbers Toyota Land Cruiser Sales Figures do not look like the profits will justify all the overhead of introduction of a new powertrain

We need fuel tank specs, diagrams, etc. ASAP. Any Aussies in here?
