LC J250 Altitude (Bull bars, winch, high air intake) ๐Ÿคค

Miss Daisy wants the Bull Bar thingy, or whatever itโ€™s called, even thought I will probably never need it..

I hope that Toyota lets us order them.

Not that there is anything wrong with ARB or these more fancy/protective bars. I was personally looking for something that did not interfere with the OEM fog lights, required no cutting/trimming/drilling the OEM bumper.

I realize that this isn't for everyone BUT it is what I am looking for. I did pre-order and they stated they will be shipping out in January 2025 (pray for me! lol)

As a 1st responder, I have ordered some scene/work lights to wire in that will include solid white LEDs and emergency flashing blue LEDs. I hope to share this project in early 2025.

I don't understand why we don't have access to diesel engines here. I'd love to have a turbo diesel with air intake.
I think it has something to do with the โ€˜chicken taxโ€™, from decades ago.

Love the bull bar. I will have to call them on Monday. I don't know if it will fit with my front plate bracket. Most bull bars I have seen for other vehicles have a few inches between it and the bumper but theirs looks really tight.

Let me know what you come up with. I'd love to purchase one and shipping it to NY

They were widely available from Jeep, LR, Mercedes, BMW, etc. about 10 years ago, but after the VW got into trouble with them ("Dieselgate") , the Germans quit importing them and the US market stopped buying, Now only a handful are available new from GM.

Yes, my wife had a diesel Jetta sportwagon. She was not happy about that debacle. So all of us have to do without because of VW. I think it probably has something to do with the globalist socialist takeover of our government as well.

Toyota stopped selling light duty diesels in the USA during the Reagan era so they must have seen the writing on the wall back then.
