Maybe I’m missing a setting somewhere, but whenever I start up my truck my phone gets kicked off whatever WiFi it was connected to. If I try to reconnect to the network, it will “work” until I leave the WiFi page in my phone.

Tangentially related, I would like CarPlay to prioritize wired connection if it’s there instead of Bluetooth so there’s no delay in steering wheel button presses and response.

Anyone encountered/figured these issues out?

I do know that Wireless Carplay uses Wifi and not Bluetooth. This could be the reason. As far as the wired connection that sounds like a phone setting.

So, I solved it; in Bluetooth settings: forget the LC. In Toyota app settings: turn off Bluetooth. When you connect the iPhone again via cord, agree to all the settings but choose wired only CarPlay. You’ll no longer have wireless CarPlay but small price to pay in my case at least
