Given the Tacoma's 14 in screen, just wondering if the Land Cruiser's 12.3 in touchscreen felt kind of small or just felt like the right size/implementation for that dash? Also I noticed in the pictures that there seem to be really thick bezels around it.

To me it looks like it could be a larger touchscreen with smaller bezels and the same footprint. However, I've just seen pictures and not actually sat in the Land Cruiser so that's why I'm asking. The interior looks really nice by the way. Blows my current 4Runner out of the water as far as I can tell.

It feels about right to me. The horizontal bias makes it very usable. Good comparison is against the GX 550 which is larger and integrates the HVAC controls vs LC which has manual buttons/levers with about the same amount of usable space. Most seem to prefer the LC approach but that is a personal choice.

Here is a mockup of what a bigger screen would look like in the LC

You should check out the bezels on the 8" screen on the 1958!

Honestly though, I feel like even that size is fine, especially since (THANKFULLY!) most of the climate control stuff is all physical buttons and I really don't need to go hunting around the touchscreen for stuff very often. I also don't mind having a bit of a bezel present in what is supposed to be a fairly rugged vehicle

I wouldn't mind a little bigger but it's definitely fine. (That's what she said). It is a little annoying to be smaller than the 4runner but like someone said, I am super glad that we still have a good amount of physical buttons.

I've put a screen protector on mine after seeing how many finger prints I have all over it. I guess I just lost track of how much I touch the screen. Add me to the list of people thankful our HVAC controls are buttons as the honey and I have different beliefs on how cold/warm the seats/area should be.
Driver rules thank goodness haha

Hi AR1978,
I have the LC LC since July 2024. Looks the right size to me.

I personally really like the Land Cruiser screen (12") since it fits the dash very naturally and you still have actual switches for the HVAC. I was debating on what trim to get and eventually realized I would be left with screen envy with the 1958; which isn't bad but you are left with several reminders Toyota was attempting to reduce cost. I felt if I was going to buy a Land Cruiser, spend a little more and enjoy it.

The Lexus screen is larger, but since the larger screen includes the HVAC controls, it is not really a level playing field. If anything it is more luxurious that you have a screen for the controls vs switchgear but I am not a huge fan.

The complaint I have with the Tacoma (besides the rear seat) was that the dash in the Land Cruiser seems much more natural. The Tacoma seems they had to shoehorn the screen in and ended up with this large bulge in the center of the dash.

I came from a 23 Tundra, and I actually hated the 14" screen. It was TOO big, the right side of the screen was too far from the driver to easily access while in motion, and that includes nav voice controls and some route options in both apple maps and google maps.

LC screen is the perfect size

I like it. Since I prefer the physical buttons, itโ€™s a nice trade off in size. Big enough to do everything I want comfortably.

We have a Tesla. The giant screen and lack of button is one of the major things we hate about it.
