Hi. Can somebody tell me the height of vehicle with 18" factory wheels and tires to the top of the antenna fin? I may need to remodel my garage door. Just put deposit on 2025 Land Cruiser Mid-Trim with 18" wheels. The online manual says 75.8" with 18" wheels BUT I don't know where that is measured to. We will have roof rails (and can remove cross bars) but what is heigh to the top of the rails or the fin (whichever is higher).

Since we are making a remodeling decision based on this, I was hoping for first hand measurement from someone. We will have rails (and can take cross bars off). Are the rails higher or the fin. I forgot to look when we were at the dealership. I am hoping to get garage door remodeled before LC is delivered in a couple weeks.

I take delivery of mine next week. One of the first things I need to do is take measurements of the height three ways - 1) with only the cross-bars, 2) plus my Yakima ski rack, and 3) plus skis.

I’m not worried about my own garage but I am worried about a few of the garages I use downtown. And I want to have a note card in the glove box that clearly lists the clearance requirements so I can pull it out and look on the road. I always forget.

This vehicle is actually a bit taller than my 2016 Tahoe, which does not fit in several downtown garages with the ski rack on it. So I am concerned.

Happy to send you the measurements once I do them.

I measured my FE not on stock tires as I added an inch or so with the Toyo AT3. Top of my rack is 79”. The fin sits exactly 1” lower then top of rack so it would be 78” to top of fin with an added inch in aftermarket tires. I am guessing OEM sits at 77” to top of fin.

I went out and looked at mine. 78 inches to top of rack, then add about 3 inches for cross rails. The fin is about level with the rack, give or take a smidge. I don't have a level with me.

I think Roonie has a good point, if you plan on changing out tires in the future, suggest room for spare.

For me, those two β€œabouts” you used there are trouble since there’s a 1-2 cm difference between clearance and an expensive problem. I have to know for sure. It’s a 2x4, a level, and a hash mark on my wall.

That would be great. Is yours on factory 18" wheels and tires? I would really appreciate measurement to the fin or to the roof rails (whichever is higher) and with Toyota cross bars on the rails (if you are getting those). Thanks!

It will be on 20” wheels, but the diameter is the same as the 18” wheels because the tire sidewall is shorter on the 20s. Like, almost exactly the same. So the measurements will work.

My 1st edition fits in our garage and it has the roof rack. It was close and I was afraid it would not fit in the garage but it fits just fine.

Thank you so much for doing that measurement!

I read on Reddit that an FE from ground to top of roof rack is 78". 76" with no roof rails.
I don't know how reliable that is but I appreciate you passing this info along. I assume "no roof rails" means to the roof? I don't know what roof rack is referred to. I am going to have OEM roof rails (the ones that attach to roof and are parallel to the vehicle). Also going to have cross bars (which I can remove if height is issue).

I look forward to receiving your measurements. Thank you! Yes, very close. I saw in the 2024 Owners Manual (which I looked at online) that it says the "overall height" is 75.8" with the 18" tires and 76.2" without. Like I said,, I don't know where they measure to for "overall height". Is it roof, antenna fin, roof rail? Also, while the 18 and 20" tires are almost identical this implies there is small difference (with the 20" perhaps a 0.4" higher?. I attached the page from the manual.
