Heated rear seats retrofit potential?

Anyone have a recommendation where to tap into switched 12v power to hook up rear seat heaters?
According to the wiring diagram they are fed by a 15a fuse.

The 15a fuses for the front seat heaters are located in the fuse box under the glove compartment.

The seat heater wiring loom is in the "seat position of parts" PDF. IDK if the US version of the rear seat harness includes the "power to seat" wires or not.

This is super helpful. Thanks! The one schematic shows a “seat back climate control blower”. I read that as some Land Cruisers (overseas?) have vented seats in the rear too. Is that true?

That's what I've heard as well, IDK for sure.

Page 17 shows a blower.

That’s perfect!
I wonder why they don't offer that in the States?
To be honest, I’d rather have heated and vented rear seats in the Premium package rather than the dopey cold box center console.

Ok. So now I’m wondering if I can add heated and vented seats if purchase all the parts from a UK Land Cruiser? If the wiring is there it would be feasible, unless the CANBUS needs to be aware.

Would be an expensive experiment if it doesn’t work.

Here is a photo of the switches in my install - that back panel pops right out easily, and the floor panel comes out with one bolt, everything is very accessible.

Again I don't know what kit the dealer used, but it turned out well. My only complaint would be that I wish I could have found 'stock' switches.

Does your us spec car now have rear heated seats with this mod?

2nd week with the underground and wife won’t let up around the lack of heated rear seats. Gotta start looking for a fix.
Keeping the wife in the back seat? I like your style! ;)

For the price point, these should come with rear seat heaters. That being said, I don't really care about it. I'm not riding back there and I'm the one who paid for it. Complaints from passengers, kids, or dogs are falling on deaf ears.

Reviving this thread because it's insanely cold where I live and my 11 year-old daughter won't stop giving me hell about the lack of heated rear seats (kids these days!). But for real I am confused because it looks like the seats in my 2024 FE are ventilated in the rear and so I'm thinking maybe a euro / UK part swap might make this easy? Anyone have any luck there? If not, does anyone know what kit you WOULD use to get them going?

DIY heat pads are avail and pretty cheap. I've never installed them in a LC, I have installed a set in another Toyota. Removing the seat covers is not for the faint of heart, getting them off is pretty straight forward, getting them back on so that the seams and tucks are resecured and in the right places was a lot harder than I thought. I do not know if the rear seats use "hog rings" or not, if so an upholstery shop could knock it out without issue.

Wiring is pretty straight forward, switched 12v and a ground. The kits I have used in the past had the switches preinstalled etc.......
