2024 Toyota Land Cruiser First Edition
I have a 2024 LC First Edition. Has anyone found the engine noise to be a bit annoying? Would a non-factory air intake muffle the sound a bit? Any remedies?

I just test drove a 2025 1958 LC today. No crazy noises. Maybe I was expecting it from all the complaints on the internet but gonna get one in a couple of weeks but the premium one. Not a fan of the stock tires and not sure why Toyota did that. Gonna have to spend more $$ to get better tires.

Welcome to the asylum JCAV.

Ha. Thanks. I see so many trash the new Land Cruiser on YouTube & social media. Never drove in the older ones so I have no expectations.
I plan on doing light off roading such as the beach in NJ and easy off road trails in Maine & N.H. Well going to buy one in a couple of weeks and I think I am making the right choice. Can’t go wrong with Toyota’s reliability.

Quick question. How much (lbs) can you place on the battery in the back? Some say 132 lbs. max. IF true that’s ridiculous.

Not sure if I understand your question.......... if you are talking about the cargo platform (floor) and the weight limit that's on cubby covers. I pretty sure they are talking about just the cover. The actual carpeted floor rests on and is secured to the hybrid battery cover and is quite robust.

I am not sure if I understand you comment. I am sure it’s me though.
I was referring to the area where you presented a picture of the back area. The whole cover for the battery was indicated to only withstand 132 lbs. Hoping that make it more clear. If not, I am sorry for I am sure it’s my fault for not explaining it properly.

I'm pretty sure the cargo floor doesn't have a weight limit of 132lbs. I've had as much as 500lbs on it without any issues. The covers for the storage compartments are made of light weight materials and are not supported except for the edges. I'm positive the weight limit is just for the covers and it would be almost impossible to stack 132 lbs directly on top of a cover

I wouldn't worry about it.

Makes sense. Thank you. It was a You-Tube video that highlighted this and they should have explained it better.
