I'm looking to swap my 1958's driver side knee panel with a higher trim soft knee panel. Anyone know the OEM part number? Or directions on changing out that trim piece?

Nice! Now just need to find out what’s what. I would guess the higher priced are the “softer” and the lower priced ones are the 1958 versions.

I reached out to the website to see if they could specify which was driver side and passenger side since they use right and left labels. I'm thinking left is driver, but who knows. they might not know either 🤷‍♂️

Agreed, left should be drivers side. Can’t wait to see how it goes, thanks for posting this.

Not sure if you still needed this but look for the assy #s, from a LC trim / premium package, feels soft and cushioned to the touch.

That was the correct part for anyone wanting to purchase for yourself! It's definitely got a little bit of cushion to it but nothing too lavish. will feel better than the hard plastic trim on long trips.

How long did removal and install take? Are you considering doing this with any other parts around the driver?

Took me about 60 seconds to replace it. Real easy, pop off pop on. Been looking through other interior components to add from the higher trims sometime down the line.

I like the brushed metal look of some of the center console pieces more than the gloss black that comes on the 1958.

See below for what i'm referring to.

Very nice! Does anyone know what the padded console lid part number is? My 1958 came with a hard plastic console lid top yet I see online many 1958’s with a leather wrapped lid
