Hi LC Forum! We're a Northern California based startup focusing on making dashcam installation easier.. the Dongar adapters utilize the power already going to your rearview mirror or the OEM dashcam pigtail connector (in the domelight cavity) and give you a convenient USB port ready for your dashcam!

Anyways! We're fully committed to expanding our product line to the Land Cruiser. We're on the list for the LC but no word on ETA or whether the dealership will do a rug pull (waitlists w/ ADMs are the norm here in the SF area). Our next generation Dongar PRO adapters (with parking mode, intelligent timers etc) are still in development but we do have a couple of products ready to go. Does anybody care to try some out and provide feedback on wire lengths, install notes etc? DM me and I'll walk you through the install process and send you some units for free!

Do you guys make power adapters for radar detectors? I would be highly interested in that.
it's tough bc most radar is already 12V so don't really need a USB adapter. The stuff from MirrorTap will do what you need which are just simple terminal-to-rj11 cables instead of a USB port.

I personally use a Radenso unit with native USB-C which works perfectly with our adapters. Alternatively, our new adapters are all 5V+9V+12V USB-C output which will power all RJ11 style radars (e.g. Valentine, Escort, etc) with a cable adapter. Let me know your exact setup and I can make recommendations.

Just an escort 360c. I would prefer a modular plug to short rj11 plug instead of guessing pins and pushing in mirrortap pins.
 
I’ll gladly be a guinea pig when I get my LC. I already have your adapter in my Tundra!

The adapter will have 3 modes:

IGN- In this mode, the device (usually a dashcam) connected to the Dongar’s USB-C power will receive power and turn on/off when the vehicle ignition is started

- The dashcam will remain continuously powered, even if the vehicle is off and parked. The built-in microcontroller monitors the vehicle’s battery (aka 12V engine & starting battery) and will disable power to the dashcam when the battery voltage reading drops below a factory-set level, thus preventing the dashcam from draining the vehicle battery below engine starting levels

T- When the vehicle is shut-off, the dashcam remains powered for a factory-set amount of time to prevent the dashcam from draining the vehicle’s engine & starting battery. This mode also has the same low-voltage protection as the ∞ mode. This mode was conceived as some people might prefer having a timed mode for certain use-cases that require multiple engine restarts throughout a day. For example, a delivery worker might constantly park and shut down their engine thus needing the camera to run only for short durations (i.e. 30 minutes) but prefers the camera to be completely off when parked at home in their garage. This mode would preserve the longevity of their vehicle’s battery due to less extreme charge/discharge cycles

I will!! I just got my LC in last week. Just got the dash cam in as well.

Any chance of having a selectable battery voltage threshold? I wouldn't necessarily think the same threshold would apply to every vehicle.

Any ETA on when this would be available?

I'm very interested in the dongar adapter 10 pins for auto dimming mirror 2024 LC 250. Can be the Guinea pig.

Installed the 5 pin last night in my premium, couldn't be easier! Way better than adding a fuse and snaking wires up the pillar.
 
Yeah, 5 pin use the existing wiring for the factory dash cam in the sunroof.
Takes a surprising amount of force to pull that sucker out!

I’d be interested in trying the 10 pin, and also want to power a Uniden R7; is there a way to power both at the same time through the mirror connection?
