Cool Box Removal?

I am making the exact same tray for $20 for members of this forum.
I got this fair offer along with $33 shipping from the Teamsters. No thanks. Caveat emptor. UPS eats seller's lunch. I see the eBay price is $35.00. C'mon man...
I have one of bgeorger's trays and it fits perfect. great job, fair price, easy shipping. can't go wrong. I did ask my local Yota dealership about removing the cool box and their reply was "don't go there"...it is connected to the air conditioning unit. I doubt most Yota dealership's will touch such a modification. I suspect 250 owners would need to do this on their own and accept any glitches or warranty complications with other electronics. I'm sure there is someone out there with the patience and skill to figure out.

I'm in on removing the cool box. Great idea if it was in the backseat or anywhere but the front seat where I need the storage.

Have you removed that cool box yet? I'm ready to do mine because all it's good for is holding an "L" shaped self-defense device.
I'm willing to try it by the diagram if you haven't or no one else has.
I can to take pictures and short videos when I do it.

The non-coolbox version definitely has the space for even larger L-shaped devices.

Give it some time, someone will figure out a work around with the relays. With 4Runners, you just had to bend one pin of the relay to make the fogs work anytime.
This might be old news to you but every time you push the fog light button lights up yellow or white alternately every time you push it to show which color fog lights you have.
