I can’t find anywhere in front dash area to plug in my radar detector?
My tundra has a tray on dash with plug in

I never even thought of the LC not having a 12v lighter plug. Can anyone confirm the LC doesn't have one.

There is one on the back of the center console/cool box. Kind of an outdated interface/plugin that is getting phased out. There are 12v to USB C adaptors you can purchase

I can confirm that I looked for one in mine and the only one I found was in back seat area . Also the phone plug in cords are all usb-c not b

That is the one I found but it’s useless for anything mounted to windshield area . Radar detector, camera , gps etc

Looks like I may have to add this

Something like this would not require drilling holes but not sure quality of the ones listed on Amazon

I suggest you run a separate wire up the "A" pillar and tie into the fuse panel vs splicing into the overhead console wiring. There should be plenty of room behind the trim panel.

Newer Toyotas are finicky with voltage values on some components.

There's also wiring for a dashcam in the upper light dome. The adapter to convert that to a USB-A is like $20. That would easily power a dashcam or radar.

I have both my dashcam and radar detector powered with that dashcam socket in my Tundra. Planning on moving both over to my LC when it gets here.

That would work I but then I have to look at cord running from windshield to to console. It really dulls me out it doesn’t have same tray as my tundra.
I think the fuse box -a pillar - along headliner to behind mirror .
I can imagine plugging into mirror being more complex that Porsche which I have done to a cayenne and 911

Please do tell what adapter and it’s located where ? In the overhead light ?

This is the adapter I used in my Tundra, the connector is identical for the Land Cruiser. https://dongar.tech/products/toyota5pin

Attached is the PDF install guide for how to install the dashcam. If you want to use your own dashcam, you can skip a lot of the instructions. The important part is how to access the connector in the dome light without breaking any of the clips.

On my Tacoma I made a bracket that slips behind the radio bezel and bolts on to the lower Radio mounting bolt, it protrudes about 1/2" from the bezel, basically a 1/2"x1/2" tab, with a hole drilled in the center. I took a gooseneck "cup" cell phone holder removed the "cup" and bolted the gooseneck stem into my fabricated tab.

It hugs the dash and places my detector approx 1/8" above the dash. Very un-noticeable and easily removed if I see bubble guns in the rear view.

I will do something similar on the FE once I take ownership.

That's why drilling a hole in the lower console for the 12V outlet is more appealing to me. I have the Escort Redline 360s and to my knowledge they only use the cigar plug. BTW the best detectors I have ever owned.

The adapter is for dash cam ,but is not correct end for escort 360 max c detector , do they make one for radar detector? looked at the website and they don't even list a toyota.
