Can we create a forum here for Regional Meet-up Groups?

Would it be possible to create a forum on this site for us to have regional meet-up groups? I think it would be beneficial to facilitate local trips and also to be able to contact other regional groups when we travel.

If there is support for this, I think that local input would be valuable for creating the sub-regions. For example, I can envision several subgroups for California....

For local trades/sales as well. Could be regional forums (like maybe California, or NorCal & SoCal) and then sub-forums under that (SFBay, Sacramento, etc.)
