Might be able to park it there the night before, then bring out the service advisor etc.....
Not sure what you are trying to convey........
I would suggest taking a video of your Cruiser doing the squeal and sending it to the repair rep with a PDF of the TSB. This should allow them to order the parts and forego the need for an appointment where they are only going to try to get the brakes to squeal. Most of these techs don't know these vehicles well and certainly don't know your specific vehicle like the owner would - if it won't do it for them in the 2 minutes they try, they'll just blow you off. If your dealer won't order the parts based on a video and the TSB alone, then call another dealer who will. Most of us have the luxury of having multiple dealers in our area and we all know some are better than others...My local Toyota dealer is telling me I first have to bring in my vehicle for an inspection first then they can order the parts but the parts on backorder.
AND that a $60k to $80k vehicle should not being doing it and that every other vehicle you may have owned at a lower price point never did it...I'd inform them that if it was normal, Toyota wouldn't have issued a TSB.
That is the bulletin and the new part numbers for the fixNot sure what you are trying to convey........
Yes I know......... I posted the entire TSB in several places the day Markarain421 first made it available.......... just don't see the correlation between my suggestion of leaving it there overnight so the service advisor could verify the condition so the TSB could be applied and the part numbers you posted. That is the bulletin and the new part numbers for the fix
Just went to the dealer today myself, they said mine needs the new brakes, but they have to order themWent to the dealer, parts on hand and they are doing mine as we speak.
Don’t know why 5 weeks, it’s the same kit as the Tundra, minus the rotors, mine was done with parts for Tundra, folks didn’t schedule when called.I am scheduled for the fix in September. The dealer I chose to take care of it took my word for it and ordered the parts without me having to go in for inspection first. They said the parts will take about 5 weeks to get in from Japan. Hopefully this takes care of the problem.
They originally said the warranty fix wasn't good for my VIN #. I have had this mentioned to me before when ordering accessories. I gather the First Edition VIN #s don't show up as a Land Cruiser for some reason... Does this sound familiar to anyone else with an FE?
Same here, the squealing is gone and I've had the car for over a year now and the squealing stopped around the 8 months mark.My Truck started squealing like a pigin the first 6 months of delivery. Finally much now better.

I called around and if they didn't know anything about it I called someone else. The dealer I ended setting the appointment with knew quite a bit about the parts needed and why it was happening. They said they would order the parts without me coming in first as long as I made the appointment. I am set for mid-September based on their projected arrival date of the parts from Japan.I'm going on Monday for my squeal. The person that booked the appointment didn't know anything about it. She said to bring the paperwork. Consequently she doesn't know if the parts are at the dealer to resolve the issue. So, I have a feeling there will be another visit to the dealership before this gets resolved.
I took a drive from mid-america to the Pacific coast and back (2500 miles). The squeal has always happened to some degree but was worse by the time we returned home. Multiple altitudes, climates, humidity levels, temperatures (between 60 and 108), etc. on the trip didn't seem to make a difference. I used to think moisture had something to do with it, but I don't anymore. My cruiser has always been in the garage at home and the squeal was/is always worse the first drive of the day and after it has sit for more than a few hours (regardless of being in the garage or in a parking lot). All of my thoughts on certain conditions causing it to act up have been debunked.I'm over 10K and no squeal. I wonder if climate or garage-kept makes a diff?
Cool, so we can drive for a little less than 3 years and then get free brake pads installed under warranty.
