I see someone has custom Hood/bonnet struts for the 70 series already. Has anyone seen anything yet for the 250? Seems like Toyota should have included this at least on the Land Cruiser and First Edition trims...

I purchased some for my Tacoma from Redline Tuning, They haven't listed the LC yet, but I'm pretty sure they will in the near future.

I was wondering the same thing. It will be nice when more of these are out in the wild and owners start to compare what parts are interchangeable.

Most probably, they mount on the underside of the hood and on the top of the inner fender bolt tray.

Not going to get OEM struts at $117 per, after market kits will be out soon.

Amazon's $45 hood struts. They fit okay. Let's see how long they last.

I bought some on Amazon and they do not fit! The struts would not close enough to latch to the other side! They were very very stiff and took a lot of force to close… sending back… I’m waiting for real ones

After a week or so, the struts have improved (somewhat). When I first installed them, I had to actually lift the hood to the full open height and it would hold it open, but if I let go before being fully opened, it would slam back down. Today the struts lifted the hood with a single finger of upward pressure (No effort at all) and held it in position after 10" of vertical travel, so I up the quality by 1 notch (whatever a notch is) I am now satisfied for the money I paid.
