I bought some tuxmats, and they seem great except they completely cover the door sills, and mine has illuminated sills, and I don’t want to cover them up, even though I would have never ordered that option. What are your favorite mats? Was really considering WeatherTech. I like that they come in cocoa to go with my Java interior, and I had them on my last vehicle, and for 12 years they were great. Any other opinions or pics would be appreciated.

Mine came with the OEM rubber mats, but I had an issue with them during the winter as snow and ice melt would dampen the carpet under the mats via the area next to the accelerator pedal, where there wasn't great coverage...and it would never dry in the cold temps with rubber mat over it.

So, I ended up ordering the weather-tech floor mats, which I've been happy with...they don't look quite as natural the OEM mats, but still look good and have done a much better job of keeping the interior carpet dry.

Anyone have an option that covers the rear center console kick plate but doesn’t cover the illuminated door sills in the second row?

I like the weather tech. It covers part but I don't think the lighted part? I'd have to check at night.

I don’t have a good recommendation, but can give a word of caution on WeatherTech. I’ve used them before (long, long ago) and considered them best-in-class until I purchased a full set for my other vehicle (not a Land Cruiser). The fit is absolutely horrible, and the quality is not great either. The factory Toyota weather mats that my LCLC came with are far superior to the WeatherTech set that I just paid an absurd amount for.

+1 for weather tech. I have an FE with illuminated door sills. Replaced my OEM mats with the weather tech and never looked back. Great coverage, great fit and the Toyota on the door still is still lit and visible at night. Rears are not illuminated anyhow and coverage is good.

Btw…weather tech has gotten MUCH better. I had a pair in our 2017 Mercedes GLS and fit was sloppy and they were stiff. The new ones for the LC are light years better.

That’s exactly what I wanted to hear and sounds like a number of people agree.

WeatherTech all the way. The bling lighting is still visible. I’d stay away from the cocoa color if you ever park on hot asphalt. They’ll get stained from the oily residue on your shoes, and it’s very difficult to clean off. I ended up buying a black set to replace the cocoa WeatherTechs I ordered for my BMW. Just got tired of constantly cleaning the stains off of them.

We posted at the same time. How is the fit on these? I was planning to buy a full set for my Land Cruiser, but after getting a set for my Sportage I changed my mind.
The fit & coverage is great. The material seems new? I never liked their FJ mats, these seem much better than those, at least the last time I checked.

How about some pics of your TuxMats?

This same thing happened to me during deer season. The OEM all weather mats suck period. Probably ok for people who stay on the pavement or for summertime. Anyway I had the dealer keep my vehicle till they could fix the issue. They quickly ordered a set of weather tech mats front and rear and they are much better. I think husky or weather tech are usually the leaders in this department. I feel sorry for people who don’t realize how bad the OEM mats are cause if you track in snow it will get your carpet wet and as a previous member mentioned it won’t dry with a rubber mat on it. It will prematurely rot the floor board and I imagine it will stink eventually.
