Anyone move from 4Runner to Land Cruiser?

In fall of 2015, I got a 2016 4runner Trail. I put on KO2s, Kings, and a Front Runner rack. I loved it. It was my dream truck , but got 15mpg. After almost 9 years and 150k miles, I got the new LC. I wanted better mpg, and I didn't feel like starting in on the high mileage maintenance. I thought about waiting for the new 4Runner, but I really don't like the looks of it.

I've had the LC for about 6 weeks. No regrets. The engine has so much more power. I'm fuel conscious, but when I need to give it gas, it moves quick. I'm averaging 23mpg, granted that will probably drop when I get AT tires in a few weeks. I got stuck in classic LA bumper to bumper traffic from Santa Monica to DTLA, about 11 miles crawling on the interstate for an hour and half, and got 31mpg because of the hybrid. The ride is much more plush and smooth. The wind noise is much quieter. The handling is a little more loose, which adds to the plush feeling. I didn't really care about all the new tech, but damn it's nice to have.

So overall, in my mind it's like 85% my old 4Runner, just a newer/better version. I'm happy.

I currently drive a 5th gen 4Runner but I am on a waiting list for a LC. Can someone who has come from a 4Runner let me know how it handles vs. the 4Runner? Especially interested in the breaking performance. I always felt that the 4Runner had to much nose dive. Thanks
I had a 2019 4Runner TRD Pro, the LC is more comfortable and handles better. There’s still some nose dive when braking but not nearly as bad.

Braking performance could be better overall though, but still better than the 4Runner.

I agree, the new 4Runner interior seems too chaotic while the LC interior looks much more refined and “mature.”

I have a LC premium coming in a couple of weeks and can hardly wait.
Agreed. While I have enjoyed my 5th Gen 4Runner over the years, the Landcruiser definitely gives a more refined look inside and out.
Some of these 4Runners I see driving around town have been modified in such poor taste they look immature and less than flattering.
As a 48 year old, I'm looking forward to the move into a more mature Landcruiser.

Thank you, that is very helpful.

Agree braking performance isn’t great; something I’m getting used to.
