any owners have thoughts or reviews about the AC ..bonus points if you have kids in car seats in the back? I’m in Phoenix and wondering how well it cools down, particularly the 2nd row. I think LC’s have vents in the ceiling.

Thx

Just got mine yesterday so haven’t tested it a ton, but I did feel like the ac was really good in the car so much so that I had to turn the temp up even at the lowest setting bc it got cold.

I have a 16 month daughter so soon enough my wife or I will ride in the back with her and I’ll let you know more. 3 zone climate control and roof vents in 2nd and 3rd row were big attractions to me in this car .

Oh nice i didnt realize it went all the way to the back. Yeah i would love to hear your thoughts after a few weeks. We have a 2 y/o and the poor guy gets pretty warm in my F150 even when the AC is on max and we have a “noggle” directing air on him.

Curious also… I HOPE its as good as the ‘24 4Runner I just bought my son for college- he won’t need it in Bozeman 😄 but it was nice yesterday when I drove it in 105 temp, here, I had to turn the fan setting down- his ‘20 Camry it was always hot

One of the first things I noticed the first time I drove my LC was how cold the AC was. The lowest fan setting seems pretty high but the vents are easily adjustable. My rear seat passenger prefers fresh air so not sure how well the AC works in the second row.

Just an update. Got the truck yesterday and Driving the LC around phoenix in this july heat, the AC system is amazing. My two year old doesnt get red in the face and sweat sitting in 2nd row. We actually have had to turn the AC down because we got too cold. We had it set to what we’re used to on the F150 but this is So much better than my previous F150.

the ventilated seats are also really great and very quiet (again compared to my 2021 F150)

It’s fantastic. I have a 10 week old son and the inside of the car is nice and cool within 5 min of remote starting. In my truck he used to get really hot, but in the LC there’s a vent pointed right at him and he’s chillin. We’ve had 100+ days here in Texas for weeks.

105degF+ weather yesterday. Combination of highway driving, traffic crawl and waiting in a hot parking lot for 45 min. Cooling was solid, and AC performance was unaffected even as the motor cycled off and on.

As I understand it, and could be mistaken, but I believe the A/C compressor is electric, so not affected by the engine shutting off. A lot better than the old belt-driven compressors, their capacity dependent on engine RPM.

Was just 120 in Vegas the last couple weeks and the AC did amazing…by far the best AC I’ve had. It’s also nice that it’s a tri zone

Once toyed with the notion of a GX Overtrail, but the lack of the tri-zone, and related rear controls, cinched the LC for me. Well, and of course doubts regarding the V6. Also, come to think of it, being a non-hybrid, the GX probably has a belt-driven A/C compressor.
