1958 Owners: Ambient Lighting alternatives?

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I am shocked at the little or should I say lack there of ANY ambient lighting. I don’t need ambient like my wife’s Mercedes, but some door handle, footwell lighting would be nice.

Has anyone found an alternative to adding some lighting to the inside?
