Hi All,

With the limited size options out there, I'm killing myself trying to find some decent options that allow me to stay with an 18" rim size without an overly aggressive offset. Looking for suggestions here for myself and other members in the same boat with the following criteria:

  • 18" size
  • Offset between +25 and +45
  • Grey, Titanium, Anthracite, Gunmetal (you get the idea)
  • Bonus points for rims UNDER 30 lbs.
  • Readily available in North America (there are some good options in Japan, but $$$).

It’s a tough one, and no bonus points for this option. Assuming you aren’t willing to go down to the Method 703 at 17 inches and +35 offset, and I haven’t been so far, the main choice I see is the Raceline Rogue 958T - 958T Rogue – Raceline Wheels.

The Methods don’t have much positive offset, so probably not what OP is looking for.

GX 550 Overtrail 18” wheels are a solid option. You can swap out the Lexus cap for a Toyota center cap no problem. Lots for sale on eBay, and I see them locally on FB marketplace for under $1000.

Skidaddhl,

I expect you are familiar with the Raceline and Method options already, but I forgot until one of RideWithYanu’s posts that Method does have a 18” titanium +40 offset option - 708 HD | Gloss Titanium

I was sort of ignoring wheels once they got up to 36lb after spending a lot of time searching out a light-weight tire, but am less worried now that my mpg is not great regardless and seems mostly dependent on my driving speed…

The 708 HD is much heavier than the 703...10 lbs/wheel. I went with the 703. Here's a link to my post Method 703 +35 with Falken AT4W 255/80R17 It's a 17" rim, which gives us more sidewall for off-road fun. Not much in the 18" diameter from Method except for the 708 HD (which I didn't get because of the added weight and a preference for 17" wheels). Any particular reason you don't want 17" wheels?

The Lexus OverTrail wheel was one I also considered. I'd avoid ICON.

Yeah, had considered the method 703, but really didn't want 17's. Hadn't seen that Raceline. Not a bad option. I ended up biting the bullet and ordering these from JAOS in Japan in the +30 option.

Considered these. Didn't see any available options in my neck of the woods, other than ordering straight from Lexus ($$$).

Yes, thanks. Those were on my (very) short list.

Lots of snow and gravel driving for me, so wanted the extra clearance between brakes and rims for the inevitable caking up. Also fewer non E rated options in the 17's from what I found, tho might be wrong about that.

I know you said North America available but if you take that out then Jaos Tribe. +55 offset. 30 pounds. Gunmetal. Jaos Tribe Cross is another option with similar specs, I think a little cheaper. They're both very sharp.

The lead time on the tribes is like 4-5 months. I'm still waiting... been waiting... 3 more months.

Since my original post, I've ordered the Tribe Cross in the +30 option. Pricey getting them to Canada, and I'll be waiting until probably April or May, but I really like how they look, and the weight is better than most options here.

Interesting. Method offers the 703 in Australia in an 18"option, +40 offset. Why not here? I would have gone that route.
