    Interior Trim Removal

Yeah, it's really very easy to get that trim out of the way if you need to. Seems intimidating but it's about a 5 minute process once you've done it a couple of times.

    2400 Watt Inverter

I would assume the 2400 would be available at all times that the truck is “running”. I’ve noticed that the truck will still shut the engine down periodically while sitting even if the inverter is powered on. I would have assumed that it would keep the engine running if the inverter is drawing...

    2400 Watt Inverter

I’ve been traveling for about a week now and have some thoughts. I have an Anker power station that I use to run my fridge 24 hrs. I’be set up a temporary power supply directly cook the 12v battery in the back that is hooked up to a relay so that it is only powered up when the truck is running...

E-bike Rack using LC250 Hitch. The standard pin is too short because the receiver is 3 5/8” wide.

I haven’t done this myself yet, but apparently, you can sand a bit of the plastic off the original locking pin and is will work with the LC250 hitch.

HELP! How do you disable safety features

I can confirm that if you plug something into the 7-pin jack that draws a current, the sensors/auto-brake is disabled just as the manual states. A couple of caveats though: I don't know how much current needs to be drawn. I tried one of those 7-pin to 4-pin converts that had LED's. The LED's...

    Semi-nude Cargo Area

Nothing that was obvious in the main cargo area. Admittedly, I wasn't looking for that but I'm usually pretty observant and I think I would have notice a pre-existing grommet that could be popped out to run wires since I've done that before. There might be something in the corners, either under...

how to disable back up sensor

Yeah but then you have to dismiss this warning every time you start the truck: Still, better than the emergency braking due having the bike rack attached. This is in the top 5 gripes I have on the new generation.

Great! Now I need to be sure to have a Phillips head screwdriver with me at all times in case I get kidnapped and thrown into my own "trunk" and need to break out! Probably need a trim removal tool as well as I wouldn't want to scratch the trim during a kidnapping. 😂

    Semi-nude Cargo Area

I'm NOT an expert here but I think the NiMH batteries perform better in temperature extremes and have a longer history (think "known commodity/reliability") of being used by Toyota. Also, some plug-in's can warm the battery while it's plugged in/charging so there is no issue with a cold battery...

Interior storage solutions --WARNING NOT CHEAP!

Yeah, they do but they are in the right thread when you talk about "not cheap". The only one that is not sold out is for single seat back and it's $349.

I bought that exact trash can a few years ago and literally just stuck it in my truck today. It's been great and durable. Well worth the price.

Thanks! Yes, I thought about keeping it on there but the flap at the front would have been problematic because I pulled the front cargo tray out to gain a little more room on the front/lower platform.

No, however, I did start a "general" thread about interior trim where the removal of many of the different pieces is already covered.

Got my temporary cargo platform installed over the weekend and I'm pretty happy with it.

    Rear Cargo Platform DIY options

In the rear, I used the OEM cargo tie down bolt locations (size M6) and two rivnuts I'd attached to the metal plate over the hybrid battery to attach 1/2" plywood. I attached my fridge slide to the plywood. The cloth covered OEM cargo cover serves as a perfect template for cutting the plywood to...

    Rear Cargo Platform DIY options

I got my short-term solution for a cargo platform installed over the weekend. This will serve my purposes for the trip I have coming up in a few weeks and then I'll revisit a longer term solution with data gained from the upcoming trip. The first step was removing the rear seats. Relatively...

@EOD Guy is correct. I was looking for mounting points. Additionally, I replaced the OEM cover over the battery with 1/2" plywood for a temporary platform. I have a trip coming up in September and I needed something to attach my frdige slide to as well as strap cargo to. Here's a picture of...

It's behind the pink translucent plastic you see in the pictures. That is attached and loosely draped over the positive terminal of the battery.

    AUX switches?

Someone commented on the image of this solution (versus the thread) and I had to do a deeper dive. I didn't realize the switch controller is battery-poweredand not hardwired into the truck's power. So, there is potentially definitely going to be times when I haven't charged the battery and I...
